QA Automation Engineer (Banking)

Tremend is looking for a QA Automation Engineer to join our team of bright thinkers and doers. You’ll use your problem-solving creativity to figure out our client’s most complex and challenging problems across different industries. Your Impact:

• Plan, write, execute, and refactor manual and automated test cases;
• Test and certify features for release;
• Conduct peer reviews for tests, test cases, and automation scripts;
• Conduct root-cause analysis and track defect resolution to completion;
• Participate in cross-teams and internal customer feature demonstrations;
• Regression testing: a part of testing is done by tests written in Cucumber using
• Writing automated tests with Java (Cucumber, Selenium, and Rest assured);
• Research, recommend, and implement tools as needed with the goal of increasing automation;
• Be meticulous about documentation and maintaining a robust log of all test cases and test results;
• Report issues to the provider via the bug tracking tool (Jira);

 

Your Skills & Experience:

• Willing to join the team for various face-to-face meetings at the dedicated office to hold certain ceremonies or activities (1-2 days/week)
• Automated test frameworks and tools, e.g. Serenity, Cucumber, Selenium, Appium, Rest Assured
• Test analysis skills (ideally ISTQB qualification)
• API and web services knowledge (REST)
• Degree in Computer Science or related engineering discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Well organized – able to plan own work and track progress against a plan
• Methodical worker, high attention to detail, and tenacious problem solver
• Strong communicator, both written & oral. Able to explain technical issues and solutions to peers.

Set Yourself Apart With:

• 3-5y prior experience as Quality Assurance Tester
• Knowledge of OOP – Java
• 1+ years’ experience with automated testing tools and frameworks (including in-house testing frameworks)
• Practical experience with Spring; Cucumber; Maven; Linux; Kibana
• Knowledge of CI/CD processes and the corresponding tools like Maven, Git, SVN, Azure
• Practical experience in Agile frameworks (Scrum) and tools (Jira)
