Job Description
Tremend is looking for a Technical Lead to join our team of bright thinkers and doers. You’ll use your problem-solving creativity to figure out our client’s most complex and challenging problems across different industries. Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of Java-based applications and services
- Define and evolve system architecture, coding standards, and best practices
- Act as a technical decision-maker and point of escalation for complex issues
- Remain hands-on with coding, code reviews, and critical system components
- Mentor and coach engineers, supporting technical and career growth
- Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions
- Drive adoption of modern engineering practices (clean code, testing, CI/CD)
- Ensure software quality, performance, security, and scalability
- Participate in planning, estimation, and delivery commitments
- Promote a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of professional software development experience, primarily with Java
- Strong expertise in Java (Java 8+), OOP, and design patterns
- Extensive experience with Spring / Spring Boot and RESTful APIs
- Proven experience leading technical teams or acting as a technical lead
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems
- Experience with relational databases and SQL
- Experience with automated testing (unit, integration, and end-to-end)
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
Set yourself apart with:
- Experience in a people-management or player-coach role
- Cloud experience, preferably Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud
- DevOps and CI/CD experience (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions etc.)
- Containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes / AKS)
- Infrastructure as Code (Bicep, ARM, Terraform)
- Experience with messaging systems (Kafka, Azure Service Bus)
- Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools (Application Insights, Prometheus, Grafana)
- Experience with security best practices
