ETRM Application Support Manager

Tremend is looking for an ETRM (Energy Trading and Risk Management) Application Support Manager to join our team of bright thinkers, and to be responsible for managing the technical team, including staff allocation, coaching, assessments, risk mitigation, etc. You’ll use your problem-solving creativity to figure out our client’s most complex and challenging problems across different industries. As the ETRM Application Support Manager, the you will be responsible for ensuring the timely resolution of issues, resolving user support requests, and collaborating with internal teams and external vendors to ensure the successful operation of our ETRM application and the overall health of the trending landscape. We are on a mission to transform the world, and you will be instrumental in shaping how we do it with your ideas, thoughts, and solutions. 

This role requires work travel trips to Abu Dhabi.

Your Impact:

• Manage the ETRM software applications, ensuring that they operate efficiently and effectively
• Manage the Level 2 and Level 3 support teams ensuring that they deliver timely and effective support to the end users
• Oversee the resolution of support issues, working closely with the IT team and external vendors to ensure timely and effective resolution
• Ensure that software updates and patches are applied in a timely and effective manner, and that standard operating procedure documentation is kept up-to-date for Level 2 activities
• Develop and maintain metrics to track the performance of the support team, identifying areas for improvement and implementing process enhancements as needed
• Endure that the support processes and procedures are efficient and effective and that they align with industry best practices
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure that software solutions meet business requirements
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with client IT stakeholders, including traders, analysts, and risk managers
• Lead a team of ETRM application support analysts, providing guidance and support as needed
• Develop and maintain metrics to track the performance of the ETRM software applications, identifying areas for improvement and implementing process enhancements as needed
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulations related to energy trading and risk management as well as application support

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering)
• 5+ years of experience in ETRM application support or a related field
• Strong technical background, with experience working with ETRM software applications (e.g., Allegro, Openlink, Endur) is a plus
• Experience managing a team of application support analysts
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external vendors
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to develop innovative solutions
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Knowledge of energy markets and trading strategies is a plus
• Knowledge of ITIL framework and best practices is a plus
