QA Engineer Manual (Banking)

Tremend is looking for a QA Engineer to join our team of bright thinkers and doers. You’ll use your problem-solving creativity to figure out our client’s most complex and challenging problems across different industries. We are on a mission to transform the world, and you will be instrumental in shaping how we do it with your ideas, thoughts, and solutions.

 

Your Impact:

• Understand the business requirements, functional analysis, and change tasks;
• Create test plans and design test cases;
• Create and execute (manual or automated) sanity and functional/non-functional tests (performance, security, different access means/channels);
• Update and maintain the integration (regression) test plan as defined and/or updated during testing new test cases identified;
• Report, record, escalate if needed, and trace all discovered errors/bugs;
• Provide feedback and propose improvements for user experience designs;
• Contribute together with the rest of the team to continuous improvements of the development process;
• Provide support for production and UAT incidents;
• Provide necessary documentation for application lifecycle

 

Your Skills & Experience:

• Willing to join the team for various face-to-face meetings at the dedicated office to hold certain ceremonies or activities (1-2 days/week)
• Experience with Web/Mobile apps
• API and web services knowledge (REST)
• Degree in Computer Science or related engineering discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Well organized – able to plan own work and track progress against a plan
• Methodical worker, high attention to detail, and tenacious problem solver
• High standards of confidentiality and ability to handle sensitive information with
• integrity and trust
• Strong communicator, both written & oral. Able to explain technical issues and solutions to peers.
• Test analysis skills (ideally ISTQB qualification)

 

Set Yourself Apart With:

• 3-5 years prior experience as Quality Assurance Tester
• Knowledge of CI/CD processes and the corresponding tools like Maven, Git, SVN, Azure
• Practical experience in Agile frameworks (Scrum) and tools (Jira)
• Applied courses in database management
• Work experience with internet banking applications.
• Practical experience with Kafka, IBM MQ, SQL, Java, Scala
• Experience with automated test frameworks and tools, e.g. Serenity, Cucumber, Selenium, Appium, Rest Assured
