In this role, you will be responsible for the smooth functioning of the operational environments that support application/solution development and deployment, including server and software management. This position requires gaining knowledge across the whole stack (like operating systems, disk management, databases, networking, performance, web site, load balancing, security, backups, disaster recovery and configuration management) while also being involved in day to day activities of the squad.

This is how your day-to-day will go:

  • AzureDevOps, automated build and deployment process based on the CD/CI tools provided in the Azure DevOps and using internal private cloud (VMs and OpenShift);
  • Pipeline as a code with YAML;
  • Deploy application functionality in Test, Acceptance and Production
  • Participate in Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity Plans;
  • Maintain SLA, System Availability, Capacity management, and Performance KPI
  • Escalation of incidents to 3rd line support, if needed. Work closely with all parties necessary in order to solve problems;
  • Good understanding of ITIL Service Management framework such as incident, problem, and change processes;
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure that the application and system is functioning as expected;
  • Working in an Agile environment;
  • Create and maintain an up-to-date documentation and procedures of your area of support;
  • Contribute to the automation and optimization of processes and flows, in order to prevent human error and increase processing speed and the ability to detect errors (e.g. certificates, monitoring tools);
  • Offer help and support to newer colleagues.

Do you know how to play with these things? (don’t worry if you haven’t experienced all of them, none of us did)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science, or equivalent industry experience;
  • Minimum 3 years of experience on a similar job;
  • Intermediate understanding of Windows Server Management (including OS Patching process);
  • Technical understanding of concept of voice solutions used for call center department; Understanding of key DevOps responsibilities and concepts;
  • Familiarity with Build ,Release and Deploy strategies;
  • Proficiency using custom scripts and tools to automate various aspects of the software development process, such as Bash, PowerShell;
  • Experience in working with Development, Infrastructure and Service management teams in identifying and solving production and test environment issues
  • Knowledge of load balancing, reverse proxies, distributed caches, and other cluster technologies
  • Experience in working on VM related issues such as creation, migration, performance, and monitoring, resizing, RDP, Disk and connectivity issues.
  • Providing system analysis and improvement recommendations.
  • Ability to effectively interface with technical and non-technical staff at all organizational levels;
  • Excellent problem solving/analytical skills and knowledge of analytical tools;
  • Positive attitude and oriented towards solving problems;
  • The ability to give constructive feedback and openness to receive it as well;
  • Ability to work within the team and be willing to share the knowledge within team

Nice to have:

  • Understanding of SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) is a plus;
  • Windows Administration knowledge: install and secure OS, patching, solve security vulnerabilities;
  • Experience with CI/ CD tools is a plus;
  • Understanding of Agile/DevOps methodology is considered a plus;
  • Knowledge of containers: Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift;
  • Ansible knowledge is a plus, Configuration Management;
  • Microsoft Azure DevOps knowledge.
